We are very lucky - he is such a chilled baby but, like you say, it doesn't really keep me occupied in the same way. It's a little ironic that they get more fun just as you have to spend less time with them, but I suppose that is life (and parenthood). x

Re: I Love My Baby But I Hate Maternity Leave

I am so in awe of stay at home mums - this gig is so hard! He gets more interesting all the time, but I really am looking forward to the stage when we can have a conversation, like you say - that's when it gets good! x

Re: What I Learnt From Blogging (Almost) Every Day For a Month

Thank you! To be fair to him, I think his true terrorist days are ahead of him - I imagine you have far more on your hands with a kitten than we do with a baby who just lies in the middle of the floor for most of the day! x

Re: 5 More New Places to Try in Leeds

It's really a great weekend break location - so many fancy shops and lots of great restaurants and bars. I know I'm biased, but I really would recommend it!

Re: 5 More New Places to Try in Leeds

This sounds absolutely incredible, I've never been to Leeds but this is making me want to book a weekend away :-)

Charlotte | Two Cats One Flat

Re: How to Cook Christmas Dinner: Slow Cooked Beef

I'm going to try this at Christmas, looks great!!

Re: What I Learnt From Blogging (Almost) Every Day For a Month

Loved this, and well done you for getting it all done with a newborn!

Also, love that you're calling him the little terrorist because that is what we call Camilla the still slightly feral kitten as she stalks around the house wreaking havoc!

Re: I Love My Baby But I Hate Maternity Leave

I love being a stay at home mum, but I could still associate with a lot of this - the newborn days are DULL. I always knew I'd like the toddler stage much more than the baby bit, though - kids are much more entertaining when you can have a conversation with them! Best of luck, whenever you decide to return to work.

Re: I Love My Baby But I Hate Maternity Leave

They are soo much more fun in their second year when we have to go back to work! I'm a bit jealous your son is so good, mine cried pretty much constantly from the moment he was born to his first birthday. Didn't sleep or nap either. I guess it kept me occupied though...in a zombie-like state!

Re: 7 Blogs I Read Everyday

Ooh thanks for these suggestions. Deciding to stop breastfeeding was really hard for me, but as soon as that choice was made, I felt better - I haven't once regretted it; it was absolutely the best thing for my family.
